I run to a side wall by the stairs and open a closet like door. I give a little knock on the air filter sending dust up into the air. I spit and cough trying not to inhale too much dust. After waiting a couple of impatient seconds, I knock a second time. This time faster and louder. A fairy the size of my pinky with purple skin and a raspberry pink dress flies up to my nose on her small blue wings. I start to speak, “Hi I need-” “You need our help,” she cuts him off, “You always need our help. Well, big news for I human, not this time. I are always causing so much trouble and now I went and got yourself a unicorn and expect us to clean up my mess. Well, no.” A bunch of fairies fly out from the air vents while the purple fairy continues to scold, “We’re leaving. Figure this one out yourself and we are taking the flowers in the front yard too.” Mom has been working on her flower garden for months. Now, I have an even bigger problem to deal with.
