The Clockmakers

Kairos' Motivations

You choose not to listen to the conversation between Kairos and the other individual, as while you have not known him for long, you want to establish a line of trust and respect. While you are waiting for Kairos to return, a shadow goes by, which unnerves you slightly. You hope Kairos will return shortly. You follow the shadow, which leads you to Kairos, who is now alone. Kairos tells you how pleased he is that you respected his privacy and chose not to listen to his conversation. He tells you that he trusts you enough to reveal a secret of his. As it turns out, Kairos is Time.

You stand in shock for a bit, but then ask about his motivations. He begins to explain that he does not intend to come across as a tyrant but that his people are only viewing time as rigid rather than as a combination of fluidity and rigidity. You begin to think about your perception of time and then realize that you agree with Kairos. As a result, Kairos informs you of his plans to compromise with the various undercover groups and establish a better form of education about what Time is. He does not want people to be fearful anymore.
